The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management has appointed Matt Niece to the role of executive director of University Health Services on a permanent basis, effective immediately. Niece has been acting in an interim capacity since June 2023 and has served as director of counseling services since 2017.
“During our time working together, I have always been impressed by Matt’s ability to foster trust across our campus and pinpoint ways to enhance the support we provide to our students,” said Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Jeremiah Shinn. “Matt embodies the qualities that lead to success in managing complex organizations: he’s a fantastic colleague, grounded, emotionally intelligent, solution-focused, reliable and unwavering in his commitment. I couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome him to our divisional leadership team and collaborate with him as we navigate some of the most pressing challenges our students face.”
University Health Services comprises three units: providing specialized student counseling, health and wellness services.
