Assistant Professor of Economics Lee Parton has received funding from the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator program for a Multidisciplinary Water Consciousness Project. This initiative aims to enhance community capacity and engagement around water resources. Alongside co-authors, Parton will develop a scalable and sustainable business strategy, as well as a comprehensive technology platform that integrates science marketing to provide actionable insights.

As water scarcity becomes an increasingly pressing challenge, organizations often struggle to gather accurate data. Parton and his team will address this issue with community engagement, data, integration, education and science communication.
