Earn rewards for using alternate transportation during the Ridetober Commute Challenge

The Ada County Highway District’s Commuteride program is once again hosting its Ridetober Commute Challenge. This event encourages Treasure Valley commuters to use smart transportation options in October. Each day participants bike, walk, carpool, vanpool or ride the bus, and track their commute on SharetheRideIdaho.com, they are entered to win daily rewards. Additionally, Commuteride and local transportation and public safety partners, including Boise State’s Cycle Learning Center, are coming together to celebrate bike safety by offering free bike lights during their Ride Bright pop-up. The event is from 4-7 p.m., or while supplies last on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Locations can be found on the event’s interactive map.
