Boise State University was named among Idaho’s top employers in Forbes Magazine’s 2024 Best Employers By State list. The university placed fourth among the state’s top employers and was recognized for its rates of employee satisfaction and retention.
“We are committed to efforts that help ensure students, staff and faculty all thrive,” said Dr. Marlene Tromp, Boise State president. “We’re proud to be a university where employees find fulfilling and meaningful work that supports student success, engages with our community and makes a positive impact for Idaho.”
Forbes’ annual rankings, conducted with market firm Statista, were based on a survey of more than 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people. Independent surveys were sent to current and former employees, as well as individuals familiar with the university. Respondents were asked to recommend their employer on a scale of 0 to 10. Nearly 1,300 organizations were named nationally in all 50 states.
This is the second time this year that Forbes has awarded Boise State with a top employer award. Earlier this year, Boise State was named a “2024 America’s Best Midsize Employers,” ranking 51 in the nation.
Boise State’s more than 3,000 full- and part-time employees work near natural beauty, outdoor recreation and a thriving downtown community. The university offers a supportive work environment with a robust benefits package and a whole employee experience designed to enhance wellbeing, collaboration, innovation and career growth.
