Participate in Suicide Prevention Week events Sept. 9-12

All members of the campus community are invited to be a part of Boise State University’s Suicide Prevention Week Sept. 9-12. Organized in collaboration with the Dean of Students, Wellness Services and Athletics, this week-long event aims to collectively reduce the risk of suicide within the community while spreading the university’s “Here for You” message.

Throughout the week, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to engage in activities across campus designed to raise awareness about mental health resources and promote help-seeking behavior. Departments or organizations with social media channels that wish to promote the “Here for You” message can access a list of resources that include captions, pre-made posts and story slides on Google Drive.

Those interested in offering extra credit to students who participate in the Here for You Fest event can fill out the extra credit form by Sept. 6. Here for You Fest is an event that connects students with a range of campus and community resources to support their mental well-being. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 10 and campus community members can stop by at any time.
