Biff Jones joined Boise State as the Next Frontier program director, reporting directly to Alicia Estey, chief financial and operating officer and vice president for finance and operations. In this role, Jones will be responsible for the ongoing success of the Next Frontier program. He previously worked for the City of Boise for over 12 years.

“Biff will be a wonderful addition to our talented Boise State community,” Estey said. “He is committed to our objective of establishing a data-empowered culture to enable timely, accurate, accessible and readily visualizable data and analytics. I look forward to working with him to advance this important work.”

Jones has a master’s in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s in economics from Brigham Young University. At the City of Boise, he collaborated with partners across the entire organization to understand the reporting needs of business units and key partners, delivering solutions in line with data governance best practices.

“It is such an honor to join Boise State University,” Jones said. “I‘m excited for the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the campus community to improve data management and reporting capabilities in ways that benefit the broader institution.”
