Idaho Business Review named three College of Business and Economics MBA leaders to their most influential business leaders in the state list, as well as lists that highlight workforce education professionals.
Ben Quintana, adjunct faculty for all four MBA programs at Boise State, was included on the Most Influential Business Leaders in Idaho Power List in July. It includes 50 people making waves across Idaho at various levels of operations, from health care and technology to nonprofits.
The publication highlighted Quintana’s two decades of job creation and workforce development at Treasure Valley organizations and businesses, his time as a Boise City Council member, and his current work as a leadership advisor, speaker and university instructor.
In April, Brian O’Morrow, senior director of the college’s Working Professional MBA programs (executive, professional and online MBAs), was recognized on the Workforce Education Power List. This list acknowledges those shaping the future of Idaho’s workforce through their dedication to education and training initiatives.
The article noted O’Morrow’s 11 years of MBA program leadership including his work on innovative and applicable offerings that ensure all MBA coursework meets industry needs. With the recent surge of interest in part-time MBAs, 350 students are currently enrolled in Working Professional MBA programs.
Misty Robertson, adjunct faculty for the online MBA program, also was recognized on the Workforce Education Power List for her 24 years in health care and passion for improving healthcare leadership.
“These leaders are an excellent representation of our accomplished instructors and staff,” said Mark Bannister, dean of the College of Business and Economics. “They’re active in the community and making a difference across Idaho and at Boise State. We’re proud to have them here.”
