Leslie Kendrick, associate professor and chair of the Department of Radiologic Sciences and program director of the Imaging Sciences program, presented “Advancements in CT and MR in Imaging and Research” at the Congreso Latinoamericano de Tecnólogos en Radiología “Alatra” in Santiago, Chile.
Kendrick’s presentation started with a brief overview of the advancements recently made in computed tomography and magnetic resonance technologies. These advancements had three major areas – improving the quality of the images these scans produce, reducing the risk patients may face during the procedure, and shortening the time it takes to capture the image.
These conferences are critical to the scientific and medical communities. They are a great resource to make connections, find new opportunities and share new findings that improve medical care across the world.
