School of Public and Population Health Associate Professor Megan Smith recently participated in Boise State Public Radio’s June 6 panel: Navigating Teen Mental Health.

The panel, hosted at Boise Centre and open to the public, asked the question: “What can you as a parent do to help your child navigate and connect?”

Smith was joined by two other panelists: Vashti Summervill, a parent coach and therapeutic consultant of Family Healing Pathways, and Maja Ledgerwood, a clinical social worker and assistant professor at Northwest Nazarene University.

As a leading researcher in youth mental health and founding director of Communities for Youth, Smith’s research focuses on upstream prevention through community-engaged efforts to promote youth and community health.
