Boise State is again participating in May in Motion, which gives employees a chance to receive recognition for a commitment to smarter commuting. Employees are eligible to win prizes when they log their commutes by bicycle, on foot, on the bus, in a carpool or any other alternative commuting method. Teleworking also counts as a “smart commute.”
The entire Boise State campus will participate as one team, and using an alternate commuting method as few as five times in May will earn participants a $10 cash reward. Logging 10 commutes will earn a $20 reward and those who log 20 or more commutes will be entered to win a $100 gift card.
All students, faculty and staff participating in May in Motion must log their commutes online at Share the Ride Idaho. All trips logged will automatically count toward the Boise State team’s efforts and participants will be entered for program prizes.
Bike To Work Day
Boise’s annual Bike to Work Day falls during May in Motion and the Cycle Learning Center will host a breakfast and bike repair station from 7-9 a.m. on May 17 at the south side of the Friendship Bridge on the Greenbelt. Blue Sky bagels and spreads, and Dawson Taylor coffee will be available, while supplies last.
