Between Feb. 12-15, representatives from Kennedy & Company, a consultant firm retained by the university to assist in the budget modernization initiative, are meeting with all academic deans and senior administrative leaders across the university to gather their feedback on what is working well under the current budget model and what questions they have about the budget process. The consultants will also present to the Faculty Senate and representatives from the Professional Staff Association and the Association of Classified Employees. The goal is to begin to develop an understanding of what Boise State stakeholders would like to see included as part of its budget modeling in the future and to identify the key decision points for this phase of the project.
Following this onboarding visit, between late February and the end of April, listening sessions and focus groups will be scheduled to facilitate broad campus involvement. These sessions will be facilitated by Kennedy & Company working alongside members of Boise State’s budget Planning Advisory Council. The dates and details for these sessions will be announced as soon as possible.
Periodic updates on the process will be shared through campus news, the Update newsletter and on the Budget Modernization website.
