Parenting is already challenging. Add in having a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and everything one thought they knew about parenting goes out the window. It is necessary to find skills that support parents and their child as they navigate the world of ASD. This four-week class for faculty, staff and their partners will help participants to understand their child, learn different ways to support them and identify self care strategies to reduce stress levels.
The sessions will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28 in the NORCO Building, Room 114.
