Lynda Tieck was named the Senior Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management announced. Tieck has been serving in the role in an interim capacity since May 2022.
“Lynda is a hardworking and conscientious leader who cares deeply about serving students,” Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Jeremiah Shinn. “She is committed to continuous improvement and responsiveness. She is a great colleague and teammate, and I’m very pleased that she has agreed to the permanent appointment.”
Tieck joined Boise State’s residence life team in 2019 as the Associate Director of Residence Life. She was promoted to Senior Associate Director in 2021. She previously served in housing and residence life leadership roles at the University of Sioux Falls, Colorado Mountain College and San Francisco State University. She holds a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Western State College.
“I am excited to continue leading the talented Housing and Residence Life department as on-campus housing grows and we support the students who call our campus home. I am thankful for the support and collaboration from campus partners who make the Boise State campus feel like family,” Tieck said.
