Amy Vecchione, assistant director of eCampus Research and Innovation, co-presented with T. J. Bliss of the Idaho State Board of Education and Torrey Lawrence from the University of Idaho about Idaho State Board Policy III B: Academic Freedom and Academic Responsibility. The presentation, “Student Literacy of Academic Freedom and Responsibility: A Disruptive Innovation for Student Success?” was given at the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities annual conference in Seattle, Washington, on Nov. 9, 2023. Presentation attendees were in various stages of developing their own academic freedom policy for students. Vecchione was instrumental in the development of this policy, serving on a workgroup while Boise State Faculty Senate President.
