Gmail’s confidential mode gives users more control over who can see the information sent in email. It allows for the protection of sensitive information by disabling the ability to forward, copy, print or download the email or attachments.
Confidential mode limits users from forwarding, printing, and downloading your email, but it doesn’t prevent recipients from taking screenshots or photos of the message or attachments.
Visit the Office of Information Technology’s Gmail confidential mode webpage to learn how to use this feature. A video of how confidential mode works is also on Google’s support page.
