The Institute for Advancing American Values’ Day of Dialogue is an opportunity for individual departments to hold a debate, discussion, lecture or other open forum around a contested topic in their respective fields. The events take place over a number of days leading up to the Distinguished Lecture Series on Oct. 23. These events do not need to be political in nature, rather, forum topics should be chosen that offer students the opportunity to view their faculty and community members navigating controversial topics and debates within their field. Visit the Day of Dialogue webpage for specific times and locations.
