Idaho Policy Institute Director Vanessa Fry attended the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership’s inaugural Leadership and Happiness Symposium on behalf of Boise State to advance the practices and research she facilitates for the School of Public Service.
Harvard Professor Arthur Brooks’ Leadership and Happiness Laboratory exists to educate leaders on the art and science of happiness. The symposium provided an in-depth focus on applying the science of well-being in university courses and research settings, as well as providing an opportunity for the lab to unveil new projects and collaborate with others on finding ways to share this body of knowledge. The invitation-only event targeted key academics and professionals across the country in order to support the expansion of the lab’s portfolio of work with new research and teaching projects.
