All full-time, benefit-eligible employees of Boise State are entitled to take a one-time leave for bone marrow or organ donation. An eligible employee is not required to take sick, vacation or annual leave when on approved leave to donate an organ or bone marrow. During this time, no leave balance is reduced and credited state service and leave will still accrue.
With a physician’s note, employees can take a maximum of five days off for a bone marrow donation and a maximum of 30 days off for an organ donation.
