The Albertsons Library’s Disinfo Squad will host an interactive showcase of their semester-long work training as educators and influencers to counter vulnerability to disinformation from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, March 10 in library room 201C.
The Disinfo Squad is a group of Boise State University undergraduate and graduate students who have been trained as information literacy references, educators, and social media influencers as part of a grant funded by the Department of Homeland Security Targeted Violence and Terrorism Grant program.
During the showcase, each squad member will present a lightning talk reflecting on their experiences or outlining their future research project. The event will also feature highlights from their social media work, and offer activities to some of the games used in training. All are welcome to attend.
More information about the team, including articles and trainings written by the students can be found on the group’s web page.
