Employees who want to save for education and who join IDeal, the Idaho College Savings Program by Sept. 30 may have $25 added to their account if they are among the first 100 persons to establish qualifying accounts. Recurring contributions to the plan can be set up through a checking or savings account, or through payroll deduction. New accounts can be opened online.
An IDeal account can earn an Idaho tax deduction and withdrawals are tax-free for qualifying expenses. The IDeal website lists the top ten reasons to start saving for education and webinars are available to answer questions.
