Beginning with the idea “Aren’t we all recovering from something?”, Writing for Recovery is a free online workshop series that provides participants with tools and directions to use writing as a pathway in their recovery journey. Participants can join one or all sessions on Thursday evenings, 7 – 8:30 p.m., Jan. 13 through June 16, 2022.
Six highly experienced writing teachers, including Ruth Salter, lecturer in the Department of English, each with a solid understanding of the recovery journey, will share approaches and different forms of writing as a pathway to stronger recovery. Classes will explore poetry, essay, short story, and life story/memoir and offer new ideas for starting or continuing your own writing practice.
Anyone 18 or older and of every writing level are welcome to participate.
