Boise State’s Micron Center for Materials Research has won Project of the Year and a People’s Choice awards from the Idaho Business Review.
The overall top projects winners, judged by experts in development, were announced during an Oct. 14 award ceremony.
The Micron Center for Materials Research earned the top honor for its “sustainable, inclusive energy efficient design and how the building itself is meant to serve as a teaching tool, using the building’s construction materials to explain important material science concepts,” the Idaho Business Review said.
The building also was recognized for Excellence in Sustainability in the 2021 Building Excellence Awards presented by the City of Boise.
