Three new staff members recently joined the Division of University Advancement to focus on efforts related to athletics.
Makenna Grewe
Grewe is a new donor experience officer for the Bronco Athletic Association. Grewe holds a B.S. in human physiology from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in strength conditioning from the University of Edinburgh. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, having worked for university athletic departments as certified strength and conditioning specialist and coach. In her new position she’s responsible for engaging and qualifying potential donors to the university, using digital technology and other resources while building the major gift donor fundraising pipeline.
Patrick Kosena
Also a donor experience officer for the Bronco Athletic Association, Kosena holds a B.A. in business administration from Carroll College and a master’s degree in athletic administration from the University of Nebraska. The experience he brings to the role includes working as the athletic director’s assistant at Nebraska, including a graduate assistantship, and directing operations for football and basketball programs at Concordia University, Nebraska and Carroll College, respectively.
Bryan Beals
Beals, as a development director for athletics, will help to secure major philanthropic gifts for Boise State’s 18 sports and more than 400 student-athletes. Beals holds B.A. degrees in accounting, finance and international business administration from Oregon State University. He brings several years of advancement experience to the role, serving as the development services officer and assistant director of the Athletic Fund Development for the University of Washington. There he led annual fund campaign strategy for more than 20 university sports programs while managing a donor portfolio and overseeing stewardship strategy for Husky athletic annual fund donors.
