Seth-Aaron Martinez has joined the Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning department as clinical assistant professor. Martinez holds a bachelor of health science degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, a master of science in instructional psychology from Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. from Indiana University in instructional systems technology. Martinez completed his Ph.D. in the Spring 2016. His dissertation focused on servant leader development. His research focuses on effective instructional designs to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of people.
Since completing his Ph.D., Martinez has worked at Stanford University, Adobe, and Facebook. His professional life has been dedicated to learning experience design, program management, and strategic direction for a variety of audiences in numerous settings. In higher education, he has designed courses across several universities including both MBA and executive education courses at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. At Adobe, he built a global, multi-year machine learning training program for engineers. Most recently, at Facebook, he used learning science research to set forth the strategy for training the 40,000 reviewers who moderate Instagram and Facebook content worldwide.
