Clyde Moneyhun, a professor in the English department, has received a grant from the Alexa Rose Foundation to fund travel for a series of readings in London and Barcelona from his new book of translations, “Bruixa de dol/Witch in Mourning” by Maria-Mercè Marçal.
Marçal was one of the most important Catalan-language poets of the 20th century, and “Witch in Mourning” is her masterpiece, Moneyhun said.
