Register now: 2021 Virtual Idaho Conference on Undergraduate Research

The Idaho Conference on Undergraduate Research will take place virtually on July 21-22. Register by visiting the event Google site at https://sites.google.com/boisestate.edu/icur2021/

The annual event showcases mentored undergraduate research taking place across disciplines at Idaho colleges and universities. The 2021 program includes interactive student poster sessions, student research talks, panel discussions, and opportunities to network with student researchers, mentors, and guests from across the state.

The student poster presentations will be unique this year, said Donna Llewellyn, executive director of the Institute Inclusive and Transformative Scholarship and a conference organizer. The posters will be displayed online (https://event.fourwaves.com/icur2021) and will be available for viewers even after the conference.

“New this year will be the use of the Fourwaves platform which allows for students to meet with interested attendees in a small group setting on camera to discuss their posters. This really does imitate the standard poster session talking to people around their physical posters, but without the requirement of standing around in uncomfortable shoes,” Llewellyn said.

Conference sessions include paired research talks featuring faculty-student teams, a graduate student panel, networking with professors, multiple poster sessions, and more.
