Campus Resources presentation series

The Office of the Dean of Students invites the campus community to a series of presentations to learn about resources available to assist students and members of our campus community. Join Mondays during the lunch hour for the following guests and conversations:

  • March 29: Jesse Tree, hosted by Ryan Vilfer, case manager in the Office of the Dean of Students. Hear from Kenzie Knutson, Jesse Tree’s AmeriCorps VISTA Partnership Development coordinator. Jesse Tree works to prevent eviction and homelessness by supporting those at risk of housing loss, empowering them to stay in their homes.
  • April 5: The Idaho Regional Alcohol Drug Awareness Resource (RADAR) Center , hosted by Kate Law, student conduct process coordinator in the Office of the Dean of Students. In this video presentation, “Stress and Substance Use”, hear from Leah Kalk, MA, LCPC, RADAR director, Boise State University, who will discuss stress and substance use during COVID-19 and beyond, as well as how to use the HALT acronym (hungry, angry, lonely, tired) as a self-care tool to manage stress and substance use.
  • April 12: Mental Health Provider Panel, facilitated by Michelle Tassinari, outreach and prevention case manager in the Office of the Dean of Students. Representatives from the substance abuse, crisis response, and general mental healthcare field will be present to discuss how mental health has been impacted by the pandemic.
