Julie Parke, a technical records specialist in procurement and vendor services, has been named the Outstanding Classified Staff of the Year.
This distinction is awarded to classified employees who have displayed a deep and sincere commitment to their work, to the university and to its shared values.
Parke is part of a team that plays a crucial role in making payments to the university’s vendors who was recognized for being team-oriented, ethical, adaptable and respectful.
“Julie is always offering a helping hand, an analytical mind to help solve problems, or to assist with achieving goals,” said colleague Brenna Albaugh who nominated Parke for the award.
“In our department, we have determined value words we all want to live and work by in order to create the culture we want. Each and every single day, Julie is representing these values to our team, the campus community, to new hires and to our vendor community,” Albaugh said. “She is extremely team-oriented, ethical, adaptable and respectful.”
The Outstanding Classified Staff of the Year award is given by the Association of Classified Employees to members who provide excellent service to their team, peers, and everyone they interact with.
