Boise State CIO Max Davis-Johnson’s latest video features a recent study that investigated the extent to which student employees provide essential services within the Office of Information Technology and resulting opportunities for professional and personal growth.
OIT’s students employees provide Help Desk and desktop support, develop applications, create business intelligence reports, support Boise State’s public websites and assist researchers with high performance computing. They’re so integral to our systems and processes that we don’t merely call them “student employees.” They are our employees with autonomy and responsibilities, and we are grateful they choose to work with us in our organization. And they gain valuable skills they can leverage no matter where they end up after graduation.
