The Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU) is a student-led organization that facilitates educational, intellectual, social and cultural engagement and advocates on behalf of the interests of students at the university.
Boise State University administration is not involved with the selection of ASBSU student representatives or the operation of the student government. Representatives are elected by the student body to a one-year term annually in spring.
ASBSU has its own policies and processes, created and carried out by students. As is common practice with university student governments, university administration does not weigh in on the governance of ASBSU. All fee-paying students of the university comprise the Associated Students.
Just as we encourage students to exercise their constitutional right to vote in national and local elections, we encourage them to lift their voices in electing their student leaders as well. These elections will take place in March or April 2021.
