A workgroup tasked with studying campus well-being has developed a document to aid campus and student leaders in the facilitation of town halls at various system levels. Town Halls: Benefits and Suggestions for Implementation is now available for the campus community to use.
Town hall style gatherings can deepen a sense of community and belonging, promote information sharing, foster transparency, and provide a venue to be heard. With the move to online meetings and remote work, these encounters are less common. The well-being workgroup encourages campus groups to map out time to engage in meaningful dialog and ongoing community building with colleagues, peers and teams. The workgroup will be rolling out other information in the coming months to cover additional strategies to support and strengthen connections among the campus community.
