Erik Hadley, a University Foundations lecturer, had an article published in Quidditas: Online Journal of the Rocky Mountain Medieval and Renaissance Association. This article uses research materials discovered during his spring 2020 U.S. Scholar Research Fulbright Grant to Belgium.
The article, “St. Roch Military Marches in Wallonia: Memory, Commemoration, and Identity, 1866-1940,” explores the tension between historical experience and modern commemoration of St. Roch military marches in Francophone Belgium, as expressed by their organizers, marchers and spectators.
