Idaho Policy Institute (IPI) research associate Gabe Osterhout was quoted in the Idaho Post Register regarding the impact of Census undercounting in rural areas in the state. Accurate counts are crucial; “It’s likely that many of our rural communities won’t have accurate counts, and as a result, sufficient resources, for at least another decade until the next count happens,” Osterhout explained.
Osterhout has been leading IPI’s effort to track Census response rates in Idaho, which is being tracked through an interactive dashboard hosted by IPI.
