Vanessa Fry, interim director of the Idaho Policy Institute, recently participated in two public economic discussions.
The first was a roundtable discussion hosted by the Association for University Business and Economic Research, during which panelists from Massachusetts, Nebraska, Arkansas and Idaho discussed their state’s economic progress during the COVID pandemic. Regional patterns of economic recovery were the focus, including the relationship between economic structure and job loss.
The second, Economic Outlook: Pacific Northwest States and Provinces, was a regional forecast webinar hosted by the Pacific Northwest Regional Economic Conference. It featured a discussion among panelists from around the Pacific Northwest states and provinces about how the region is economically situated. Among the topics discussed were housing, the criminal justice system, tourism and more.
