On July 1, 2020, the new paid parental leave policy for specific benefit-eligible employees takes effect. Those who qualify will be able to receive eight weeks of paid parental leave to use within 12 weeks of the birth or adoption of a child.

The university currently is updating the faculty parental leave policy to provide eight weeks of parental leave to faculty employees to also coincide with the July 1, 2020 date. More information will be available in the coming weeks.
