Library Journal published a March 31 article, How Library Maker Spaces Can #FlattentheCurve, by Amy Vecchione, an associate professor and head of Emerging Technologies and Experiential Learning at Albertsons Library. Vecchione also oversees the university’s MakerLab. Gavin Woltjer, director at the Billings Public Library, was co-author.
Vecchione has helped lead a grassroots effort on campus and the community to 3D print face shields for medical professionals. The project has gained attention from local media, including a recent article in The Idaho Statesman (paywall).
