During this unprecedented time, the basics of well-being (eating, moving, and sleeping) should not go on the backburner. Eating a variety of foods, moving each day, and aiming for 7-8 hours of sleep a night are the essentials to keeping our bodies and minds well.
Prevention is powerful. That is why BroncoFit is still committed to the health and well-being of our university community. While in-person events have been paused, updates and tips on how to be physically and mentally well are still being shared on Instagram and Facebook. In addition, please see below for several health-related updates.
Health Services Remains Open
Health Services is still open and offering services. However, patients’ medical, counseling or psychiatry appointments may be more appropriate for telehealth services via Zoom’s HIPAA-compliant platform – patients are encouraged to speak with their provider about that possibility.
Patients who do visit Health Services in person may be asked to wear a mask and wait in a different area of the waiting room, depending on their symptoms. If anyone is experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please call Health Services to talk to a nurse before coming to the clinic. Unfortunately, some services have been canceled for the time being. These include urgent care, massage therapy, sports medicine and our Oasis room, all of which will be closed until April 6 at the earliest.
Bronco Family Chat
Working and studying remotely can feel isolating, but on the online platform Bronco Family Chat, everyone is encouraged to share their stories and see how other Broncos are navigating this challenging time.
