Heike Henderson, a professor of German in the Department of World Languages, published an article about contemporary German-language techno-thrillers in the inaugural issue of Crime Fiction Studies published by Edinburgh University Press.
Henderson analyzes bestsellers by Tom Hillenbrand and Marc Elsberg and investigates what these thrillers can tell us about possible developments in the areas of surveillance, data mining and predictive technology.
