Google recently updated Google Docs to enable autocorrect by default.
Autocorrect is intended to speed up writing by correcting misspelled words as someone types. Corrected words are identified with a grey dashed underline. As they continue typing, the underline will disappear.
To undo a correction, just hit backspace, and select “Undo” while hovering over the word.
To not to use autocorrect, disable it by selecting Tools > Preferences and unchecking “automatically correct spelling.”
