The second annual Working History Showcase will take place April 6 at the Idaho State Museum. The event will introduce area high school students to professionals working in the history field in academia and beyond, including nonprofit management, public policy, libraries, government agencies and more.

Organizer Bob Reinhardt, an assistant professor in the history department and founder/director of the Working History Center, is seeking professionals interested in participating.

The showcase will include open mixer and networking opportunities, a “speed networking” session to introduce students to the variety of careers available in history, several tables showcasing student work, presentation of this year’s Most Valuable Intern award and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Professionals do not have to have current job openings in their organizations to participate.
