When life gets busy, it’s not always easy to schedule an annual wellness screening with a medical provider. As a part of BroncoFit, Boise State is bringing wellness screenings to Boise State employees.
Preventative Health will host health screening clinics on campus Feb 4-7, 11-12, and March 3-6. Consider taking 20-25 minutes for a health check up. Screenings are provided at no cost with verifiable insurance, and participation doesn’t prohibit individuals from also seeing their primary care providers, as this screening and an annual exam can be covered at no cost within the same year.
Wellness screenings include a thyroid test, diabetes test, lipid panels and a blood pressure check, among other things. For this reason, an eight-hour fast before the appointment is preferred. Black coffee, tea and water are fine to drink.
