The deadline to submit flexible spending claim forms for FY2019 (July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019) is Oct. 31. Employees can submit flexible spending claim forms for:
- Medical, dental, prescription and vision expenses incurred on or before June 30.
- Daycare expenses incurred between July 1, 2018 – Sept. 15, 2019.

Remember the flexible spending plan does offer a carryover feature for the health Flexible Spending Account (FSA). This allows users to roll over up to $500 of unused health FSA funds to the following plan year. However, the carry-over feature does not apply to unused daycare FSA funds. Carry-over amounts will be credited after the claim filing period. Any health FSA funds in excess of $500 are subject to the use-or-lose rule and cannot be refunded.
