A piece by Lily Lee, The Shroud of Bitter Creek Betty, is one of 48 works selected by jurors for the exhibition Beyond the Surface as part of the Surface Design Association‘s annual conference. Lee is an associate professor in the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies.
The exhibition is at the Saint Louis Arts Guild and will be on display through Oct. 23. This exhibition is in conjunction with Innovations in Textiles 2019, which includes 40 exhibitions featuring textiles throughout Saint Louis.
Lee will present a lecture about her work, The Great Basin Murders: Weaving an Identity for the Unidentified, through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Boise State on Sept. 26. Registration is required.
