The Office of the Dean of Students currently is recruiting faculty to serve as members of the conduct body for the 2019-20 academic year. When students are alleged to have violated the Student Code of Conduct, board members review evidence, engage in deliberation, help ensure due process for students and contribute to efforts to uphold the well-being and integrity of the Boise State community. They are a crucial part of the decision-making process.
Faculty are needed for both academic misconduct and non-academic misconduct board positions. These include the Academic Sanctioning Board and Conduct Hearing Board, which convene when students have engaged in severe or pervasive behavior, and the Appeal Board, which reviews student appeals related to academic and non-academic misconduct conduct decisions.
Applications will be accepted until Sept. 9. Applicants will be contacted after the deadline. Faculty who are interested in the position can fill out the brief conduct body application form.
