The curators of CIRCUIT, an arts agency supporting New Zealand artists working in moving image, has selected Kate Walker’s video work, “Cloudship,” to show on Mason’s Screen, a 24-hour public screen for artist videos in Wellington, New Zealand, through May 22.
Walker is an associate professor in the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies.
In the 2018 piece “Cloudship,” 13 performers quietly parade an inflatable model of a nuclear powered airplane engine that was tested in the 1950s at the Idaho National Laboratory through the Boise foothills.
The Idaho Film Collection, Idaho Commission on the Arts and Boise State School of the Arts supported the project.
