Ruth Jebe, assistant professor in the Department of Management, had a paper published this spring in the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law titled “Fostering Corporate Sustainability Through Directors’ Duties: South Africa’s Attempt to Align Corporate Governance with its Constitution.” This paper examines the constitutionalization of environmental rights and their incorporation into corporate law.
Jebe also has a paper forthcoming in the American Business Law Journal titled, “The Convergence of Financial and ESG Materiality: Taking Sustainability Mainstream,” which investigates the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board and its use of financial materiality to improve corporate reporting. The article will be published this summer.
