While the gym floor in the campus Recreation Center is being replaced, S. Michigan Avenue will be restricted to one lane of travel from W. University Drive to Belmont Street beginning Monday, April 8, and extending into mid-August. The road also will be completely closed for waterline project repairs April 10-22.
In addition, the Ada County Highway Department will be closing S. Manitou Avenue between W. University Drive and Belmont Street on Wednesday, April 10, while road repairs are made. This is near the engineering building and may affect those that park along the street.
The S. Michigan Avenue road closure will allow for construction vehicle access and material storage during the process. As construction continues, the Department of Public Safety will work to update the campus community with any changes to this closure.
Public safety department personnel understand that road restrictions and partial closures can add time getting to and through campus, and appreciate commuters’ patience as they work to improve road conditions at Boise State as efficiently as possible.
Please contact the Department of Public Safety at (208) 426-7275 with any questions.
