Boise State’s West and East Stadium lots and Bronco Circle will have limited access on Wednesday, March 13, beginning at 6 a.m. and continuing late into the evening.
This will affect East Reserve and East Commuter permit holders. These permit holders can park in their alternate locations beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. These locations are: Capitol Village after 1 p.m., BOAS tennis/soccer complex, Yanke, Human Resource Services, Dona Larsen Park and South Commuter lot (the Denver and Grant dirt lot and Denver and Beacon dirt lot). East Reserve also will be honored in the Lincoln Garage. A map of lot locations can be found here. Drivers who are unable to locate an open parking space on March 13 are encouraged to call (208) 426-7275 for assistance.
If possible, faculty and staff are encouraged to use alternate transportation to get to work on Wednesday. Lyft, Uber and taxis will be parked at Bronco Circle. Shuttles also will run all day.
The parking restrictions will be in place due to a Jimmy Buffet concert at Taco Bell arena, as well as the Morrison Center’s production of Wicked, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Jimmy Buffet tailgating is expected to begin at 10 a.m. and last all day. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Boise State will have security and police presence in the parking lots all day.
Members of the public attending the Jimmy Buffett concert are encouraged to enter off of Broadway Avenue; those attending Wicked are encouraged to enter off of Capitol Boulevard.
Parking Services anticipates a parking impact similar to a home football game on Wednesday. Please take this into consideration when planning commutes, and be patient with parking attendants, many of whom are students.
