Assistant Professor Jessica Wells and Lecturer Danielle Swerin, both with the Department of Criminal Justice, recently co-authored research that was presented by another co-author at the Western Association of Criminology Conference on Feb. 9.
Their study, “Approaching Intimate Partner Violence at the Micro-Level: An Analysis in Boise, Idaho,” examines the spatial and temporal patterns of intimate partner violence using geo-identified incident data obtained from the Boise Police Department. The study also examines the location of service providers in relation to areas reporting a high density of intimate partner violence incidents.
