Mary Rohlfing, a visiting associate professor of communication, presented the three-session course, “Women in American Rock and Popular Music” to more than 140 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members in late January and early February. The course examined the careers, music and impact of a variety of women artists including Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Madonna and Beyonce.
